One of Joe Wirtheim’s beautiful commissioned posters for the 2018 Sagra di Radicchio

We’ve gotten a lot of inquiries about our custom artwork, and we couldn’t be happier to share our sources.

Three posters were commissioned by Portland artist Joe Wirtheim of Victory Garden of Tomorrow. The rough blueprint we gave him was a whimsical world of dancing chicories and our favorite vintage amari posters. With this inspiration, he created some dazzling illustrations of Puntarelle, Treviso tardivo, and Castelfranco varieties. Joe sold these beautiful posters at our Sagra di Radicchio in 2018, a limited number of prints are available on his website.

For our RAD Pizza Party, we contacted Seattle Artist Ebru Esra Guler, telling her only that we loved pizza and we loved radicchio and could she somehow connect the two, please-and-thank-you. She surprised us with an incredibly intimate portrait of a person smiling in a peaceful moment, absorbed in delight at what awaits them: pizza and radicchio, of course!
